If you got a Pottermore account the day you heard about it, dressed up for a Harry Potter party, and have read the actual "Tales of Beetle The Bard" then, like me, this is the moment you have been waiting for. Warner Bros. has announced that J.K. Rowling is bringing more of her magical adventures to the big screen via director David Yates (director of the latter half of the Harry Potter series). You may remember the textbook by Newt Scamander, titled "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", used in the Care For Magical Creatures class. This storyline spin-off is being made into not just one, but three movies, and maybe even more, the first of which is set to be released on November 18, 2016. While the first film will be focusing on the magical author himself (not Harry Potter and the gang), this is an exciting development for those who know that the universe J.K. Rowling created has more than enough substance to create a lifetime of stories.
Also, if you've never been able to say you've read a book before seeing the movie, now is your chance! J.K. Rowling published "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" in 2001, and it is available where books are sold.
