Just yesterday Marvel announced that the teaser trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron would be revealed on October 28th during Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D on ABC. Well, the trailer is out now, 6 days early, and Marvel's blaming Hydra. Can I get a "Hail Hydra" on that one? I don't know about you guys, but I'm pretty dang excited! The film is coming to theaters on May 1st, 2015.

There's an awful lot going on in this action packed trailer, so I'm going to give my best effort to break down some of the key components. As you just saw, it looks like the team of superheroes is back to its rowdy pre-assembled ways, much like we saw in the first film, with Tony Stark declaring, "It's the end. The end of the path I started us on." Well that was pretty short-lived, huh? Then we see Thor choking out Stark, and the Hulk battling Iron Man in the streets. Seems like everybody wants a piece of the guy. Nobody likes a wise ass, Tony Stark! You've been asking for trouble since day one! To be honest, what I believe we're actually seeing here is the setup for what may eventually be the Avengers' Civil War, in which Iron Man and Captain America lead two opposing sides. "Civil War" is a comic series that began in 2007, and with the way things are looking in this teaser trailer, it seems this civil war could very possibly take place in the eventual third Avengers film. Also, Spider-Man is a key player in the "Civil War" comic. Considering the recent news that Marvel is trying to secure the movie rights of their characters (Sony has the rights to Spider-Man, while Fox has the rights to X-Men and Fantastic Four), it seems like a pretty plausible outcome for The Avengers. Whether Marvel will be able to get back their characters remains to be seen. What is clear, though, is that that lines are being divided in Age of Ultron and it appears that the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor will be taking Captain America's side.

I'd also like to point out that in this trailer, aside from Hulk and Thor attacking Iron Man, we see the Hulk gently pressing his enormous hand against Black Widow's, signifying a bond between them. If the four Avengers above are united, that leaves Iron Man with only Hawkeye as an ally. That's 4 to 2. I don't like Iron Man's chances. Fortunately, there are two new superheroes joining the party; Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. Perhaps they'll partner with Iron Man and Hawkeye to even things up a bit.

These two characters are twin mutants (and they're actually the children of X-Men's Magneto, but shhh! We can't talk about that. As I said earlier, Fox has the movie rights to Marvel's X-Men. The two companies did work out a deal though that would allow Quicksilver to be in this film, as well as in X-Men: Days of Future Past.) For those of you that don't know him, Quicksilver is, well... quick. Like, really quick. Sonic the Hedgehog speed. His sister, Scarlet Witch, has magical powers that allow her to alter reality. I think she got the better end of the bargain with this whole genetics thing. Anyway, I would just like to point out that these two sibling characters are played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen, who played husband and wife in this year's Godzilla. Now let's move onto Ultron, the film's intriguing villain, voiced by James Spader.

Well, I don't know much about Ultron, but it appears he's able to take multiple forms. We see him as a crippled looking robot at first, and then at the end of the trailer he has a new intimidating appearance. He seems like a pretty interesting and versatile character. Marvel movies have been lacking in good villains, so hopefully he'll be one of the better ones. I'm assuming Ultron has something to do with The Avengers breaking up, but that remains to be seen. So far, it seems the greatest threat to the Avengers has been the Avengers themselves. It looks like that trend may continue, but I'm not going to take Ultron lightly. I think he's a villain that has a great deal of potential. Then of course, Marvel's been building up Thanos since the end of the first Avengers film, so it'll be interesting to see when he comes into play. Things look to be heating up in the Marvel universe, and like most of you, I'm excited to see how it all pans out. At this point, I have far more questions than answers. How does Captain America's indestructible shield get broken?  Why does Tony Stark take the credit for assembling The Avengers when that was Fury's idea? Will Hawkeye have a more prominent role this time around? And most importantly, how are they going to tie in Nicolas Cage as Doctor Strange into all of this? ;) I guess we'll have to wait until May to find out! Thanks for reading!

Tom Hiddleston, who plays the villain Loki in Thor and The Avengers, is widely considered one of the hottest actors of today. It turns out that looking both conniving and innocent at the same time, however, is not his only specialty. This weekend's attendees at the Wheatland Music Festival in Michigan received a special treat when Tom Hiddleston crashed the party and performed a cover of Hank William's classic tune "Move It On Over."

While this was a huge treat for all who were there, the rest of us can expect to see more demonstrations of Tom's vocal talent soon. Why, you may ask? For all who don't know yet, Hiddleston is on the books to star in a biopic of Hank Williams called I Saw The Light. Set to be released in 2015, the film will be directed by Marc Abraham (Children of Men, Dawn of the Dead, and In Time), with writing credits going to both Abraham (screenplay) and Colin Escott (biography).

With Comic-Con happening this week, a lot of production companies like to create a little bit of buzz going into the event. No one has been doing it better as of late than Marvel Studios who has announced 5 release dates for some of their upcoming films. What movies are coming to theaters on these days is anyone's guess. Marvel is quite adept at keeping their projects under wraps, and their master plan is known for extending a solid 10 years into the future. While we may not know what the films are exactly, I think it's safe to say that Marvel fans can continue to look forward to being spoiled for the next several years!
