A bust of Fantastic Four hero The Thing has just surfaced from the set of the upcoming reboot. It has been stated that The Thing will be a post-production character that is later added into the film through special effects. The reason for having this large bust at all then is because not only is it useful for character interaction, but it will also help when adding lighting effects to the computer generated character so that they match the current setting. The Thing and his human persona Ben Grimm will be played by Jamie Bell (The Adventures of Tintin, King Kong), which to me certainly seems like a baffling choice considering his small stature. However, I don't doubt his talent and his character doesn't necessarily need to be big before his superhero transformation, so I'm sure it will all work out just fine. The Fantastic Four reboot is being directed by Josh Trank, who previously directed the film Chronicle, and it is said to be released in theaters on June 19th, 2015.
