You saw Frozen, you memorized the songs, you heard the countless parodies of those songs, and you've thought to yourself "if only, if only something new would come along." Well you got your wish! Disney is bringing us a new movie in 2016 (so for those of you singing "those songs never bothered me anyway," you still have time before they're replaced), and they have just released a first look.
In less than two years, we will take part in a new adventure (this time on the waves of the South Pacific) with a heroine named Moana. This is what Disney has to say about the movie:
"In the ancient South Pacific world of Oceania, Moana, a born navigator, sets sail in search of a fabled island. During her incredible journey, she teams up with her hero, the legendary demigod Maui, to traverse the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous sea creatures, breathtaking underworlds, and ancient folklore."
To be fair, Moana may or may not be musically-oriented like Frozen, that part isn't clear yet. But knowing Disney, it is always a possibility (and they know we love it). Who knows, with mention of "ancient folklore," maybe it will be as fun, heartwarming, and exciting as Brother Bear (remember that movie?)!
